This FREE Webinar is designed for professionals who seek resources in different languages to work
with linguistically diverse parents of youth with developmental/intellectual disabilities.

In this webinar, participants will increase knowledge and understanding of Transition related resources in 9 different languages and how to share it with linguistically and culturally diverse
youth and their families. We will:

  • Learn what “Life after High school” Youth Transition Resource Guides are and how to access and download them from the Open Doors for Multicultural Families’ website.
  • Explore video clips that provide the accompanying information from the Resource Guides in an alternative format for families with different learning preferences and/or literacy levels.
  • Discuss the strategies in engaging linguistically and culturally diverse youth with disabilities and families through sharing these resources during transition to adulthood period.
