Parents’ Understanding of Special Education Service System and resources: Sungho Park is an assistant professor at the Division of Special Education and Counseling at the California State University, Los Angeles. He received his Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in special education, disability, and risk studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2004. He also holds a Level 1 Education Specialist Credential in Moderate/Severe Disabilities from UC Santa Barbara. His research focuses on children with severe developmental disabilities and their families. Especially, He has researched ways to support parents and their children from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and to enhance their ability to work with Anglo-American professionals. Currently, he is working on a research project on how to teach high school students with moderate disability to use Microsoft excel. For the past few years, he has taught courses on inclusion, collaboration, and teaching students with moderate/severe disability. |
